[Quarterly journal founded in 1970 ended in 1999] Kyoto: Urasenke Foundation.
A semi-scholarly journal about Japanese culture. Articles for both the general reader and the specialist, on Japanese aesthetic, fine and applied arts, cultural history, literature, and philosophy, especially in their relation to chanoyu. Many are translations from works in Japanese, available for the first time in English. Includes color photographs, references to pertinent kanji characters, a practical guide to the chanoyu procedures, and informative book reviews. 88 issues.
